Summary of review and consultation process
The National Certificate in Electrical Engineering (Motor Rewinding and Repair) [Ref: 0412] and its component unit standards were reviewed as part of the scheduled review process for standards and was conducted by ETITO in conjunction with industry stakeholders. The review reflected the experience of several years of training, assessment, and industry experience. It also took into account the future skill requirements of the industry.
Two consultation meetings were held with industry stakeholders to ensure the unit standards within the electrical machines domain and qualification were fit for purpose.
Main changes resulting from the review
· Standards 1184, 16413 and 19469 have had minor changes to special notes.
· Standards 1185, 15858, 15865, 16413, 16416, 16469, 19470 and 19471 have had minor changes to performance criteria.
· Standard 19470 has had one performance criteria removed and a minor change to an element.
· Standards 15858 and 15865 have had performance criteria added.
· Standard 15865 has been amended to match others in the domain.
· All standards have undergone formatting updates.

None.
Impact on existing qualifications
National Certificate in Electrical Engineering (Electrician for Registration) [Ref: 1195] is not materially affected by the changes. It has also been reviewed, and updated to take account of the change to title for standard 15865.
