Review of Cleaning and Caretaking qualification
National Certificate in Cleaning and Caretaking (Supervisor) [Ref: 1115]
The Building Service Contractors Industry Training Organisation has completed the review of the qualification listed above.
Date new version published August 2008
The next qualification review is planned to take place during 2013.
Summary of review and consultation process
This qualification was registered in November 2004 and has been reviewed because changes to standards in the qualification altered its structure, making it unachievable. During the review it was also identified that the qualification did not meet the level requirements. Feedback was sought from a working party consisting of representatives from the Building Service Contractors industry regarding the structure and content of the qualification, which was updated following consultation, and subsequently endorsed by industry.
Main changes resulting from the review
The main reason for the review was the expiry of a standard and the registration of a new standard.
