The ElectroTechnology Industry Training Organisation (ETITO) has completed the review of the qualification listed above.

The next qualification review is planned to take place during 2012.

 

Summary of review and consultation process

 

The qualification was issued following the review of the Electrical Machines standards as part of the scheduled review process for standards and was conducted by ETITO in conjunction with industry stakeholders.  The reviewed qualification reflects several years of training, assessment, and industry experience.  It also takes into account the anticipated future skill requirements of the industry.

·      standard 24890 was substituted for standard 12299

·      title of standard 15865 was updated

·      credit total was changed from 126 to 133.

 

Transition

 

Candidates may choose to complete the requirements of version 2 or transfer to version 3.  The final date for the award of version 2 is December 2009.

 

This qualification contains standards that replace or are substitutes for earlier standards.  For the purposes of this qualification people who have gained credit for the following standards are exempt from the requirement to gain credit for the replacement or substitute standards.

Category A

Category B

The qualification is published as a new version with the same NQF ID
