The Joinery Industry Training Organisation has completed the review of the qualification listed above.

The next qualification review is planned to take place during 2013.
Summary of review and consultation process
An Advisory Group meeting with industry and provider stakeholders was convened on 20 May 2008 to discuss changes to the General Glass and Glazing unit standards and the qualification that had arisen from feedback following the assessment and moderation processes. This meeting suggested some changes to the unit standards which impacted on the qualification. The amended qualification was endorsed by stakeholders in
June 2008.
Main changes resulting from the review
The qualification has been updated to continue to meet the needs of the glazing industry. As a result, the credit range table has been updated as the credits required for the qualification has increased.

Changes to structure and content
· Credit total has increased from 44 to 45.
· Standards 19613-19615 have been replaced by standard 25397.
· Standard titles and credits have been updated following review.
Transition
People currently working towards version 1 of this qualification may either complete the requirements of that version or transfer their results to this version of the qualification. Candidates working towards version 1 of this qualification and who have not gained credit for standards 19613, 19614, and 19615 by December 2009 must transfer to version 2. The final date for assessments to take place for version 1 is December 2010.
This qualification contains standards that replace earlier standards. For the purposes of this qualification, people who have gained credit for the expiring standards are exempt from the requirement to gain credit for the replacement standards – see table below.
