Summary of review and consultation process
The Diploma in Hearing Therapy has been reviewed following the review of the unit standards in the Hearing Therapy domain. The changes to the qualification have been circulated to all relevant stakeholders and endorsed in early 2008.

Changes to structure and content
· The level was removed from the title.
· Special notes deleted.
· Credit total increased from 120 to 121.
· Subfield changed from Human Services to Community Support.
· Standard 18598 was replaced by unit standard 23363.
· Standard 23364 was added.
· Standard titles, levels, and credits were amended following review.
This qualification contains a standard that replace an earlier standard. For the purposes of this qualification, people who have gained credit for this standard are exempt from the requirement to gain credit for the expiring standard – see exemption table below.
