The Seafood Industry Training Organisation (SITO) has completed the review of the unit standards listed above.

Summary of review and consultation process

 

SITO registered assessors and industry raised issues that led to the unit standards being reviewed.  A working group was set up to review the unit standards.  The re-drafted unit standards were presented to the relevant industry sector for consultation and the final versions were endorsed.

 

Main changes resulting from the review

 

·         The title of unit standard 19219 was changed to better reflect the skills covered.

·         The title of unit standard 20464 was amended to correct a grammatical error.

·         The credit value of unit standards 19848, 20464, and 20466 were reduced to better reflect actual time required for learning, practice and assessment

·         Elements and performance criteria were changed to meet industry requirements, and to improve assessability and consistency.
