Rollover of Maintenance and Diagnostics in Mechanical Engineering unit standards

Competenz has decided that the unit standards listed above, which were registered in April 2003 and July 2006, should have their period of registration extended.

 

The reason for the rollover is to maintain the currency of the unit standards until they have been reviewed.  The unit standards are part of the National Certificate in Mechanical Engineering (Level 4) with strands in Fitting and Machining, General Engineering, Machining, Maintenance Engineering, and Toolmaking [Ref: 1262], and it is desirable to gain more experience with them in this new environment prior to review.  Most of the remaining unit standards in this domain are also due for review in 2009, and it is intended to review all of them together.
