Revision of Public Sector Services qualification

 

National Certificate in Public Sector Services (Leadership Development - Middle Management) (Level 5) [Ref: 1019]

 

Learning State has revised the qualification above.

 

Date new version published                                                             June 2008

 

The next qualification review is planned to take place during 2010.

 

Reason for the revision

 

The revision was carried out to make the qualification achievable as it had not been updated when standards 17498 and 19026 in the First Line Management domain and standard 9676 in the Interpersonal Communications domain were reviewed and replaced.

 

Main changes resulting from the revision

 

Changes to structure and content

·         expiring standards 9676, 17498, and 19026 have been replaced by standards 21335, 21336, and 23400

·         the title, subfield, domain, and level of reviewed standard 1987 have been updated

·         the title of reviewed standard 14943 has been updated.

 

Transition

 

Training programmes for version 2 of the qualification may start as soon as the qualification is published.

 

All existing candidates may either complete the requirements for version 1 or transfer to version 2.

 

The last date for assessments to take place for version 1 of the qualification is December 2010.

 

This qualification contains standards that replace earlier standards.  For the purposes of this qualification, people who have gained credit for the expiring standards are exempt from the requirement to gain credit for the replacement standards - see table below.
