Fire and Rescue Services – Airport |
3328, 20390 |
The Fire and Rescue Services Industry Training Organisation has revised the standards listed above. The opportunity was also taken to roll over the standards in order to maintain their currency until a full review can be undertaken.
Date new versions published March 2008
Planned review date December 2012
Reason for the revision
The two unit standards were revised to change the prerequisite requirements.
The prerequisite standards for 3328 were at a higher level (level 4) than the standard itself (level 3), which was considered inappropriate. The prerequisites were therefore removed and entry was now ‘open’.
The prerequisite for standards 20390 and 20395, involved wearing a body suit, which was not practical in an internal aircraft fire fighting situation. Standard 20395 was therefore removed from the list of prerequisites.
Main changes resulting from the revision
Prerequisite standards 3331 and 20391 were removed from standard 3328, and prerequisite standard 20395 was removed from standard 20390.
