Date new versions published March 2008
Planned review date December 2013
Summary of review and consultation process
These unit standards were reviewed as they were due for review in December 2007.
The review was conducted through consultation with representatives from GS1 and PrintNZ Training. On 7 November 2007 an assessor from GS1, a course graduate, and a representative from PrintNZ met to discuss the changes required to the unit standards.
The group considered the following:
· The currency of the unit standards.
· The accuracy and appropriateness of their content.
· Whether the level and credits correspond to performance outcomes.
· Any gaps in skills and/or knowledge that could be captured by the development of new unit standards.
A change in international terminology, in particular the EAN.UCC system changing to the GS1 system.
It was acknowledged that credits and levels of the unit standards needed to be adjusted to reflect the work involved and the level of complexity. A new Management in Print domain was registered to provide a better fit with industry.
Main changes resulting from the review
· The unit standards have been reclassified in the new Management in Print domain.
