Revision of Automotive Reglazing qualification

 

National Certificate in Automotive Reglazing (Level 3) [Ref: 1249]

 

The Joinery Industry Training Organisation has revised the qualification listed above.

 

Date new version published                                                             March 2008

 

The next qualification review is planned to take place during 2010.

 

Reason for the revision

 

The qualification has been revised to include a new unit standard developed by the Motor Industry Training Organisation.

 

Main changes resulting from the revision

 

Changes to structure and content

·      Credit total increased from 94 to 96.

·      Standard 24085 was added to the compulsory section.

·      Standards 946 and 9677 were updated following review.

·      Expiring standard 391 has been removed from Elective A.

·      The Collision Repair domain was added to Elective B.

 

Transition

 

This qualification contains standards that replace earlier standards.  For the purposes of this qualification, people who have gained credit for the expiring standards are exempt from the requirement to gain credit for the replacement standards – see table below.

People currently working towards version 1 of this qualification may either complete the requirements of that version or transfer their results to this version of the qualification.

 

The last date for assessments to take place for version 1 of the qualification is December 2010.
