Summary of review and consultation process

 

The unit standards listed above were reviewed to maintain currency with industry requirements.  Consultation was carried out with all stakeholders, including industry, moderators and training providers. 

 

Main changes resulting from the review

 

·         The title and content of unit standard 20526 were changed to remove reference to piling and foundation operations, and a new performance criterion was added to include travelling the crane with a load on the hook.

·         Special notes, elements, performance criteria, and range statements were updated on all unit standards.

·         New unit standards 24509, 24510, and 24511 were generated for multiwinch crane operation, cranes working in tandem, and non-slewing articulated crane operation respectively.
