Reason for the revision
Consultation with industry has led to the development of a National Diploma in Competitive Manufacturing, to recognise high-level skills in the industry and to align with the Australian MSA51108 Diploma of Competitive Manufacturing. This development led to the revision of the National Certificate in Competitive Manufacturing with strands in Introductory Application, and Technical Application [Ref: 1215] and the National Certificate in Competitive Manufacturing (Level 4) with an optional strand in Facilitation [Ref: 1216] to ensure a coherent pathway for candidates, and for continued consistency with the Australian equivalents.
These qualifications were revised as a result of the registration of further Competitive Manufacturing NQF standards (Australian) from the Australian Training Package MSA07 Manufacturing on the National Qualifications Framework (NQF), the review of the Australian MSA31108 Certificate III in Competitive Manufacturing and the Australian MSA41108 Certificate IV in Competitive Manufacturing, and the review of the First Line Management domain.
