Summary of review and consultation process
A review of these unit standards was undertaken as part of a regular review cycle. Apart from one usage of unit standard 14292 in 2006 no other credits were reported for any of the unit standards since 2003. Industry confirmed that it had no need for them. Only unit standards 10405 and 10406 were in a qualification. These unit standards were therefore to be designated as expiring.
Main changes resulting from the review
Unit standards 6986, 10402, 10405, 10406, 10409, 10410, 10415, 10416, 14286, 14289, 14292, 14295, 15559, 15563, 15565, 15572, 18278, 20534 will expire as they cover skills no longer required by industry.
Unit standards categorised as category D expire at the end of December 2009.
