Revision of Sports Turf AMAP
The New Zealand Sports Turf Industry Training Organisation has revised the Accreditation and Moderation Action Plan (AMAP) above.
Date new version published October 2008
The next AMAP review is planned to take place during 2013.
Reason for the revision
The AMAP was revised to clarify the existing accreditation requirements and moderation procedures and to place the AMAP on the new template.
Compliance with new requirements
Accreditation requirements will apply with effect from January 2009.
Moderation system requirements will apply with effect from January 2009.
Accredited organisations will be audited for compliance with AMAP requirements from July 2009 onwards.
Main changes resulting from the revision
ACCREDITATION INFORMATION (AI)
Industry or sector-specific requirements for accreditation
· Criterion 1 - requirements for industry input into the development and review of training programmes have been added.
· Criterion 3 - teaching expertise, industry knowledge, and qualification requirements for teaching and/or assessing staff, including workplace assessment, have been clarified and specific requirements for assessment against cricket pitch management unit standards 23542 and 23563 have been added.
· Criterion 6 - requirements of off-site providers have been clarified.
· Criterion 7 - both on-job and off-job assessment, and individual students' requirements, have been clarified
MODERATION INFORMATION (MI)
Moderation System
· Pre-assessment and post-assessment moderation requirements have been formalised and clarified.
Reporting
· Details of the review and reporting processes have been added.
Funding
· Details of how the national external moderation system is funded have been added.
Non-compliance with moderation requirements
· Details of further actions that will be taken have been added.
Appeals
· The process that accredited organisations can use to appeal moderation decisions has been added.
