Revision of Public Sector Services qualification
National Certificate in Public Sector Services (Field/Community Advisors) [Ref: 1106]
Learning State has revised the qualification listed above.
Date new version published October 2008
The next qualification review is planned to take place during 2013.
Reason for the revision
This qualification was revised to replace expired compulsory standard 9674 from the Interpersonal communications domain, remove expired elective standard 65, update the title of Public Sector Māori standard 14943, and update Learning State's details.
Main changes resulting from the revision

Changes to structure and content
· Expired standard 9674 has been replaced by standard 21336.
· Expired standard 65 has been removed from the elective section of the qualification and has not been replaced.
· The credit requirement for the compulsory section has been raised from 45 to 46 and the credit requirement for the elective sections has been reduced from 15 to 14.
· The title of reviewed standard 14943 has been updated.
Transition
Training programmes for version 3 of the qualification may start as soon as the qualification is registered.
All existing candidates may either complete the requirements for version 2 or transfer to version 3.
The last date for assessments to take place for version 1 and 2 of the qualification is December 2009.
This qualification contains standards that replace earlier standards. For the purposes of this qualification, people who have gained credit for the expiring standards are exempt from the requirement to gain credit for the replacement standards - see table below.
