The Seafood Industry Training Organisation has completed the review of the unit standards listed above.

Summary of review and consultation process

 

The review was prompted by the unit standards passing their planned review date, and by feedback from registered assessors and industry at a Seafood Processing Advisory meeting held in February 2008.  These unit standards continue to meet industry requirements and demand, are fit for purpose and no issues have been identified during assessment and moderation.

 

Main changes resulting from the review

 

·         Purpose statements, elements and performance criteria have been amended for consistency with the outcomes of the unit standards.

·         Special notes have been amended for accuracy and clarity.

·         Legislation and regulations have been updated for accuracy and currency.

·         Range statements have been amended to clarify parameters for assessment.

·         Titles have been updated to better reflect the overall outcomes of the unit standards.
