Revision of Hospitality qualification

 

National Diploma in Hospitality (Operational Management) (Level 5) with strands in Kitchen Management, Food and Beverage Management, Rooms Division Management, and Functions Management [Ref: 1245]

 

The Hospitality Standards Institute has revised the qualification listed above.

 

Date new versions published                                                          September 2008

 

The next qualification review is planned to take place during 2012.

 

Reason for the revision

 

The qualification has been revised as a result of changes in level and credits for standard 1988.

 

Main changes resulting from the revision

 

National Diploma in Hospitality (Operational Management) (Level 5) with strands in Kitchen Management, Food and Beverage Management, Rooms Division Management, and Functions Management [Ref: 1245]

 

Changes to structure and content

·      Compulsory credit total has increased from 59 to 60.

·      Standard 1988 has been amended following review.

 

Transition

 

People currently working towards version 1 or 2 of this qualification may either complete the requirements of that version or transfer their results to this version of the qualification.
