Summary of review and consultation process

 

These unit standards have been reviewed to reflect changes within the Seafood Industry Retailing Sector.  The re-drafted unit standards were presented for review by the Seafood Retailing Advisory Group in February 2008 and the final versions were endorsed by this group.  The review was undertaken to confirm that the unit standards continued to meet industry requirements, were fit for purpose, and enabled consistent assessment decisions.  Changes were made to the unit standards in keeping with advisory group feedback and the purpose of the review.

 

Main changes resulting from the review

·         Some titles have been amended to improve clarity.

·         Special notes have been updated to improve accuracy.

·         Some unit standards have been updated to improve consistency.

·         The purpose statements, elements, and performance criteria have been updated to improve accuracy and consistency with the outcomes of the unit standards.

·         Legislation and regulations in all unit standards have been updated.

·         The credit and level for unit standard 17076 has increased to align with unit standard 17057 as they are comparable in the types and level of skills being assessed.
