The Seafood Industry Training Organisation has completed the review of the unit standards listed above.

Summary of review and consultation process
These unit standards have been reviewed to reflect changes within the New Zealand Seafood Industry and to ensure that they meet the needs of the industry. The whakaruruhau for Seafood Māori met in August 2007 and they endorsed the final versions.
Main changes resulting from the review
· The purpose statements, elements and performance criteria have been updated for consistency with the outcome of the unit standards.
· The title for unit standard 17475 has been amended to be consistent with its outcomes and to reflect industry requirements.
· Special notes for all unit standards have been updated for accuracy.
· Elements, performance criteria and range statements have been updated to reflect industry needs. Element 3 of unit standard 17477 has been removed from the unit standard as it had no relevance to Māori customary needs.
Unit standards categorised as Category D will expire at the end of December 2010.
