Summary of review and consultation process
The above qualification has been reviewed before the planned review date to align with a review of the resource material and the development of new standards.
The consultation process was undertaken by the Roofing Advisory Board, whose representatives covered the different specialist strands in the reviewed qualification. The standards were developed and edited in approximate alignment with the resource material that had been recently reviewed by the same group. A series of structured meetings and teleconferences were held over an approximate one year time period to get feedback about the content accuracy, scope, and relevance. The standards and qualification structure were then progressively checked and refined as a result of the feedback sessions.
Main changes resulting from the review
· Credit level increased significantly
· All strands are now at Level 4
· Standards were added to both the compulsory section and strands.
