Summary of review and consultation process
In February 2008 the Joinery Advisory Group met to review the joinery standards and qualifications. As a result of changes to the standards, the qualifications were also looked at to determine whether they were still fit for purpose. The development of six new standards and the designation of some existing standards as expiring, required changes to be made to the qualifications. The changes were endorsed by all of the stakeholders in June 2008. Candidates enrolling in Training Agreements in 2010 will be enrolled in the latest versions of the qualifications.
