Summary of review and consultation process
The review of the unit standards listed above was conducted as part of NZITO's planned review cycle. The Dairy Industry Advisory Group and accredited providers were asked to provide feedback on whether the unit standards were still fit for purpose. Information gathered from the moderation process was also discussed.
The legislation underpinning unit standards 762 and 19674 has been revoked and NZITO has elected to designate the two unit standards as D category expiring and they will not be replaced. As it was considered to be no longer fit for purpose, unit standard 19527 was designated C category expiring and has been replaced by unit standard 25676.
Unit standard 19523 was revised when the remaining dairy unit standards that had reached their planned review date were either revised or rolled over.
Main changes resulting from the review
· Unit standards 762 and 19674 have been designated as expiring and will not be replaced.
· Unit standard 19527 has been replaced by unit standard 25676.
· Legislation requirements on unit standard 19523 have been brought up to date and the content amended to match these requirements.
Unit standards categorised as category C or D expire at the end of December 2011.
