Revision of Horse Trek Guiding qualification

 

National Certificate in Horse Trek Guiding (Level 3) with an optional strand in Multiday Horse Trek Guiding [Ref: 0844]

 

The Aviation, Tourism and Travel Training Organisation has revised the qualification listed above.

 

Date new versions published                                                          August 2009

 

The next qualification review is planned to take place during 2014 (unchanged).

 

Reason for the revision

 

The qualification was revised to take account of the revision of standard 17747 and the review of standard 12409.

 

Main changes resulting from the revision

 

Changes to structure and content

·      level, credit value, and title of standard 17747 have been updated

·      expiring standard 12409 has been replaced by standard 25988

·      total credits decreased from 73 to 71.

 

Transition

 

People currently working towards versions 1 or 2 of the qualification may either complete the requirements of those versions or transfer their results to version 3 of the qualification.  The last date for assessments to take place for versions 1 or 2 is December 2011.

 

This qualification contains standards that replace earlier standards.  For the purposes of this qualification, people who have gained credit for the expiring standards are exempt from the requirement to gain credit for the replacement standards – see table below.
