AMAP for InfraTrain New Zealand Limited [Ref: 0101]

 

Revision of Infrastructure Industries AMAP

 

InfraTrain New Zealand Limited has revised the Accreditation and Moderation Action Plan (AMAP) above.

 

Date new version published                                                             December 2009

 

The next AMAP review is planned to take place during 2012.

 

Reason for the revision

 

The standard setting responsibility for the Driver Licence Endorsements unit standards 16701-16703 has been transferred from Tranzqual ITO to InfraTrain New Zealand.  The AMAP needed updating to incorporate specific accreditation and moderation requirements to enable transfer of the standards from AMAP 0092 to AMAP 0101.

 

Compliance with new requirements

 

Accreditation requirements will apply with effect from January 2010.

 

Moderation system requirements will apply with effect from January 2010.

 

Accredited organisations must be compliant with AMAP requirements from July 2010 onwards.

 

Main changes resulting from the revision

 

ACCREDITATION INFORMATION (AI)

 

Standard Setting Body involvement in accreditation process

SSB involvement for Driver Licence Endorsements standards 16701-16703 has been added.  Evaluation of documentation and visit by NZQA, industry and NZ Transport Agency is required.

 

Visit waiver conditions

A condition has been added that NZ Transport Agency endorsement will be obtained, where applicable.

 

Industry or sector-specific requirements for accreditation

·      Criterion1 - requirement added to ensure that NZ Transport Agency requirements in relation to NZ Transport Agency Approved Course Provider status are met.

·      Criterion 7 - requirement added to indicate that only assessment material that has been approved by NZ Transport Agency and InfraTrain may be used for assessment against Driver License Endorsements standards.

 

MODERATION INFORMATION (MI)

 

Moderation System

The moderation system has been updated to indicate that InfraTrain New Zealand is responsible for administering the national external moderation of the Driver Licence Endorsements unit standards 16701-16703.
