Summary
The revision of these unit standards was initiated by Tranzqual ITO so that the unit standards could be updated with respect to the legislative environment and industry references and codes. Definitions, terms, and assessment conditions used or laid down in the unit standards were also made consistent. The update is intended to maintain the currency of the unit standards until a full review is carried out in 2012.
There is no impact on provider accreditations or existing qualifications resulting from this revision.
Main changes
The changes are:
· scheduling planned review for 2012
· re-ordering and re-formatting Special Notes to make them consistent with more recent versions of Commercial Road Transport unit standards
· ensuring definitions are consistently expressed across the unit standards
· updating legal requirements relevant to each unit standard
· updating references (and their availability) cited in Special Notes.
