The Joinery Industry Training Organisation has completed the review of the unit standards listed above.

Summary of review and consultation process

 

The Laminate Fabrication Advisory Group met in December 2008 to look at the laminate fabrication standards and consider the feedback generated through the assessment and moderation process.  The feedback process identified the need to make changes to all three of these unit standards as well as the need to develop one new unit standard to meet an identified gap.  These changes were made and endorsed by the advisory group.

 

Main changes resulting from the review

 

·                Changes were made to elements and performance criteria.

·                Special notes were updated.

·                Minor change was made to title of unit standard 2538.

·                Range statements were amended for consistency with other reviewed joinery unit standards.
