Reason for the change to expiry date
Unit standard 18280 was reviewed as part of the review of the National Certificate in Tourism and Travel (Core Skills) (Level 3) [Ref: 0876]. It was designated Category C in January 2008, and was due to expire in December 2009. However, during the current review of the National Certificate in Travel (Level 3) [Ref: 0112] it was discovered that this expiry date would make that qualification unachievable before its last date for assessment of 31 December 2011. As a result, the final date for assessments to take place for standard 18280 has been extended to 31 December 2011, this will allow the National Certificate in Travel (Level 3) [Ref: 0112] to be achieved until its last date for assessment.
