As a result of further industry consultation during the review of its qualifications, HITO considers that the changes made to these unit standards at the last review should have resulted in the registration of replacement unit standards with new Ids (review category 'C').

These unit standards have therefore been designated as expiring, and replacement unit standards have been registered.

HITO wishes to ensure that no trainees who have completed the last version of the replaced unit standards since they were registered in August 2008 are disadvantaged.  As a result, HITO will arrange and pay for each trainee who has been credited with the last versions of the replaced unit standards to gain credit for the replacement unit standards.  Trainees must complete the last version of the replaced unit standards before 31 December 2009 to be eligible for this arrangement.  Those affected should contact HITO at the following address:

Main changes resulting from the review

No substantial changes have been made to these unit standards as a result of this review because all necessary content changes were made to the previous versions in August 2008.
