Revision of Community Support Services qualification

 

National Certificate in Community Support Services (Core Competencies) (Level 3) [Ref: 1327]

 

The Community Support Services Industry Training Organisation has revised the qualification listed above.

 

Date new versions published                                                          July 2009

 

The next qualification review is planned to take place during 2011.

 

Reason for the revision

 

The qualification was revised to provide an exemption from standard 23386 for people with credit for standard 5019.  Standard 5019 was replaced by standards 23386 and 23387 in October 2007 but providing an exemption from standard 23386 was overlooked when version 1 of the qualification was registered.

Changes to structure and content

·         Exemption from standard 23386 added.

 

The exemption from standard 23386 has also been retrospectively added to versions 1 and 2 of the qualification.

 

Transition

 

This qualification contains a standard that replaced an earlier standard.  For the purposes of this qualification, people who have gained credit for the expiring standard are exempt from the requirement to gain credit for the replacement standard - see table below.
