Revision of Dairy Manufacturing qualification
National Certificate in Dairy Manufacturing (Process Skills) (Level 4) with optional strands in Product Safety, and People Skills [Ref: 1044]
The New Zealand Industry Training Organisation has revised the qualification listed above.
Date new versions published July 2009
The next qualification review is planned to take place during 2014.
Reason for the revision
The qualification has been revised as a result of the review of the standards in the Business field and the Communication Skills subfield. This review amended classifications, titles, levels and credits and replaced some standards with new versions.
Main changes resulting from the revision
· Classification, titles, levels and credits of reviewed standards have been updated.
· Field Business classifications listed in the People Skills Optional Strand have been updated.

Changes to structure and content
· Standard 9674 has been replaced with standards 21335 and 21336.
· Standards 758 and 760 have been added to Elective A.
· The domains First Line Management and Quality Management from the Management subfield have been replaced with the domains People Development and Coordination and Quality Management from the Business Operations and Development subfield in the People Skills Optional strand.
Transition
People part way through version 1 of this qualification may choose to complete that version or transfer to version 2. The last date for assessments to take place for version 1 is December 2011.
This qualification contains standards that replace an earlier standard. For the purposes of this qualification, people who have gained credit for the expiring standard are exempt from the requirement to gain credit for the replacement standards - see table below.
