The Seafood Industry Training Organisation (SITO) has completed the review of the standards listed above.

Summary of review and consultation process

 

Seafood ITO, registered assessors and industry representatives met and reviewed these standards to ensure that they continued to meet industry requirements.  The re-drafted standards were presented to the relevant industry sector for consultation and the final drafts were endorsed.

 

Main changes resulting from the review

 

·         The use of the phrase 'kutai, kuku' has been made consistent by listing only one instance (in title) and removing all other instances from elements and performance criteria (where appropriate).

·         Special notes were updated for accuracy and in keeping with industry requirements.

·         Elements, performance criteria and range statements were changed to meet industry requirements, and to improve assessability and consistency.
