Summary of review and consultation process
The review was carried out to transfer standard setting responsibility from Tranzqual ITO to the New Zealand Industry Training Organisation. Tranzqual ITO developed this unit standard prior to the development of the Occupational Safety and Health subfield. They no longer consider this unit standard part of their core business and support its transfer to the Occupational Health and Safety Practice domain.
Main changes resulting from the review
· Standard setting responsibility for unit standard 17459 has transferred from Tranzqual ITO to the New Zealand Industry Training Organisation.
· Subfield and domain information for unit standard 17459 have been updated.
· Accreditation statement has been updated to match that on AMAP 0171.
· Level has been increased from 1 to 2.
· Credits have been increased from 2 to 3.
· Element, performance criteria, range statements and special notes have been updated to ensure the content is still fit for purpose.
