Revision of Commercial Road Transport qualification

 

National Certificate in Commercial Road Transport (Courier Driver) with strands in Urgent Operations, and Non-urgent Operations [Ref: 1084]

 

Tranzqual ITO has revised the qualification listed above.

 

Date new version published                                                             March 2009

 

The next qualification review is planned to take place during 2012.

 

Reason for the revision

 

This qualification has been updated to maintain qualification currency following standards 1770 and 1771 being designated expiring and the reclassification of standards formerly registered in the Small Business Management domain.  The listed standards have also been updated where necessary to account for changes to titles, levels and credits.

 

Main changes resulting from the revision

 

Reclassified and reviewed standards have been addressed and qualification credit totals have been amended.

 

The changes made as a result of this revision are intended to maintain the currency of the qualification with minimum impact on accredited organisations and trainees part way through a programme.

Changes to structure and content

·         Standards 1770 and 1771 removed from Core Elective

·         Core Compulsory total reduced due to credit changes for standards 1734 and 16718

·         Core Elective minimum total increased to ensure qualification rule requirements can be met.

 

Transition

 

People currently working towards version 2 may either complete its requirements or transfer to version 3.  People have until 31 December 2010 to complete version 2.
