Summary of review and consultation process
It was indicated by industry representatives that the qualification and unit standards above were no longer required by industry. It was confirmed that they were not being utilised and therefore their continued registration was not warranted. There are no existing candidates working towards the qualification or unit standards and accredited providers have been notified of their expiration.
Main changes resulting from the unit standard review
Main changes resulting from the qualification review
The National Diploma in Journalism (Graduate) (Level 7) [Ref: 0528] has been designated as expiring because it does not meet the needs of industry. It has only ever been awarded three times, and there are no existing candidates. A new Level 6 qualification is currently being developed by NZ JTO.
