Reason for the revision

 

Feedback from assessment developers indicated that:

·           use of ‘compared' in performance criteria 1.1-1.5 did not provide informative guidance for manageable assessment, as the reference points for such comparisons were not explicitly stated within the performance criteria

·           the requirement of performance criterion 4.3 that trainees adhere to the registration and accreditation requirements of a professional body did not provide sufficient detail for manageable assessment for trainees who were not registered professionals.  In addition, the performance criterion specified evidence requirements that were beyond those indicated by element 4.

 

As a result representatives from Needs Assessment Support and Co-ordination Association and Ministry of Health have been consulted and the unit standard revised.

 

Main changes resulting from the revision

 

·           Performance criterion 4.3 has been removed.

·           The references and special notes have been updated.

·           The purpose statement has been updated to match the wording of the elements and performance criteria.

·           The elements and performance criteria have been amended to better reflect the level of the unit standard.

·           The language and sentence structures have been amended to improve clarity and readability.
