Summary of review and consultation process
The above qualification required updating to meet current industry requirements. Version 3 was developed following a concurrent standard and qualification review in order to update the standards and make changes to the content of the qualification to better align it with role requirements.
Industry experts who represented herd testing employers, workplace assessors and the herd testing sector met in December 2008 to suggest changes to the current qualification.
Following a period of consultation with key representatives including industry experts, training employers, training providers and the herd testing industry further changes were made based on feedback received.
The final version was endorsed by the industry expert panel members and the Board of the Agriculture Industry Training Organisation.
