Summary of review and consultation process

These qualifications were reviewed with Whakaruruhau as part of the Māori Qualifications Services (MQS) scheduled review cycle.  There had been no usage of the qualifications, and consultation undertaken with the Whakaruruhau sought to determine how use of the qualifications could be promoted.  Further consultation was undertaken with providers of the Te Mātauranga Māori me te Whakangungu standards and this resulted in amendments to the qualifications structures to provide a wider range of choices.

Main changes resulting from the review

Details of titles, levels, and credits of reviewed standards were updated, and more options were added to the elective sections of the qualifications.
