NZQA National Qualifications Services (NQS) has revised the unit standards listed above.

Responsibility for these unit standards has been transferred from NZQA National Qualifications Services (NQS) to NZQA Māori Qualifications Services (MQS).

Rationale for change

 

The revision was undertaken to transfer standard-setting responsibility for the unit standards referred to above from NQS to MQS as they assess Māori concepts.  MQS are currently reviewing standards in the Tikanga subfield and will undertake a review of the standards once this report is published.

 

Main changes resulting from revision

 

·         Unit standards have been reclassified to Māori>Tikanga>Tikanga Concepts.

·         To ensure that these standards remain visible in the domain Tikanga Concepts, as standards designed for supported learners, a supported learning-specific context has been added to all unit standard titles consistent with the title change for all Supported Learning unit standards.

·         A recommendation has been included in special notes, where appropriate, for the unit standards to be assessed against in conjunction with other Supported Learning standards to encourage integrated assessment.
