NZQA National Qualifications Services (NQS) has completed the review of the qualifications and unit standards listed above.
Date new versions published November 2009
Summary
During the scoping of NQS owned qualifications and unit standards, it was identified that qualifications and unit standards at Level 4 and above within all domains in subfield Music had low or no usage.
A recommendation was made to the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA) Board that, following consultation with the sector, these qualifications and unit standards should be expired.
NQS identified that credit for a small group of unit standards was being reported by Apostolic Training Centres Limited. This organisation was notified of the expiry of these unit standards and the options available following expiry.
All other accredited providers were sent letters signalling the expiry of these unit standards and qualifications and suggesting a transition through to December 2012.
