The Ministry of Education and the Secondary Assessment and Liaison business unit of NZQA have revised the achievement standards listed above that were registered in November 2007.
Date new versions published November 2009
Reason for the revision
The revision is to ensure that the wording in all the Languages 1.6 standards is consistent.
Main changes resulting from the revision
The change concerns the wording in explanatory note 5 of the standards. The sentence "The text(s) must total .... words/kana" must have the word "about" inserted immediately before the number of words/kana. The intention is that this is guidance on the number of words/kana and they do not have to total to the exact number stated. This will result in a consistent approach across all the Languages 1.6 standards.
