Summary of review and consultation process

An advisory group was formed with assessors, employers, trainers, providers, suppliers and completed trainees working in the field.  This group reviewed the unit standards in detail and revised definitions and terminology to reflect world-wide changes in the carpet and textile cleaning and window cleaning industries.  Industry best practice guidelines were incorporated into the reviewed standards where appropriate.  Comments and recommendations from all parties were incorporated throughout the review process.  The final versions of the new unit standards went to all parties concerned for a final sign-off to accept all changes made.

·         Ranges have been extended.

·         References to new legislation are incorporated throughout.
