Revision of Educational Achievement qualification

 

National Certificate of Educational Achievement (Level 1) [Ref: 0928]

 

The Ministry of Education has revised the qualification above to take account of the review of Communication Skills standards.

The next qualification review is planned to take place during 2010.

 

Reason for the revision

 

The qualification was updated to take account of changes made to unit standards in the Communication Skills review.

 

Main changes resulting from the revision

 

Version 6 was issued to update the standards listed in the Literacy Requirements set of the qualification.

 

Changes to structure and content

·           Titles, levels, and credit values of Communication Skills standards were updated.

·           Expiring unit standard 2977 was replaced by unit standard 25060.

 

Transition

 

This qualification contains a standard that replaced an earlier standard.  For the purposes of this qualification, people who have gained credit for the expiring standard are exempt from the requirement to gain credit for the replacement standard - see table below.
