Revision of Travel qualification

 

National Certificate in Travel (Level 4) [Ref: 0113]

 

The Aviation, Tourism Travel Training Organisation (ATTTO) has revised the qualification listed above.

The qualification review is currently taking place and will be completed in 2010.

 

Reason for the revision

 

The revision was conducted and version 8 of the qualification republished to ensure the qualification prerequisite requirement remains achievable.

 

Main changes resulting from the revision

 

The prerequisite requirements have been changed and either the National Certificate in Travel (Level 3) [Ref: 0112] or the National Certificate in Travel (Level 3) with a strand in Retail Travel, or Wholesale Travel [Ref: 1481] can be used to meet the prerequisite for award.

Summary of changes

·      There have been no changes to structure and content.

·      The purpose statement has been changed and recognises this qualification builds on knowledge and skills from the National Certificate in Travel (Level 3) [Ref: 0112], or the National Certificate in Travel (Level 3) with strands in Retail Travel, and Wholesale Travel [Ref: 1481].

·      The 'Special Notes' and 'Summary of Requirements' have been changed to acknowledge that either Ref: 0112 or Ref: 1481 can be used to meet the prerequisite requirement for the qualification.  Information about the process for contacting Tertiary Records for people wishing to use the alternative prerequisite has been added to the Special Notes.
