Summary of review and consultation process

 

The Observer unit standards were due for review in 2009 so an advisory group was set up to undertake the review.  The group met in August 2009 to ensure the unit standards still met industry requirements, and to ensure they were clear, logical and fit for purpose.  These unit standards were presented to the wider observer advisory group for consultation and review and the final versions were endorsed.  They continue to meet industry requirements and demand.

 

Main changes resulting from the review

 

·      Minor amendments were made to performance criteria and range statements to better clarify evidence requirements in unit standards 23028, 23029, and 23032.
