NZQA National Qualifications Services (NQS) has completed the review of the unit standard listed above.

Summary of review and consultation process

 

In August 2008, following a prolonged process of consultation with stakeholders, NQS exited from standards-setting responsibility for unit standards in domain Animal Training.  The report for that review is at http://www.nzqa.govt.nz/framework/updates/summary-page.do?data=summary-2008-08.xml.

 

Unit standard 7402 was withheld from that review, because Careerforce (Community Support Services Industry Training Organisation) indicated its wish to assume responsibility for this standard, but Careerforce changed its mind.  Consultation with other ITOs indicated a lack of interest in this unit standard and as it is outside the coverage of NQS, the unit standard is designated expiring.  The only accredited organisation which has recently been using the unit standard has been contacted and no longer wishes to assess against it.
