Summary

 

The revision of these standards was initiated by Tranzqual ITO so that the standards could be updated with respect to the legislative environment and industry references and codes.  Entry information, definitions, terms, and assessment conditions used or laid down in the standards were also made consistent across the unit standards.  The update is intended to maintain the currency of the unit standards until a full review is carried out in 2011.

 

There is no impact on provider accreditations or existing qualifications resulting from this revision.

 

Main changes

 

The changes are:

·         scheduling a planned review date of 31 December 2011

·         re-wording entry information to make it consistent with more recent versions of Commercial Road Transport unit standards

·         re-ordering and re-formatting Special Notes to make them consistent with more recent versions of Commercial Road Transport unit standards

·         ensuring definitions are consistently expressed across the reviewed standards

·         updating legal requirements relevant to each unit standard

·         updating references (and their availability) cited in Special Notes.
