Revision and Rollover of Food Safety unit standards

The Hospitality Standards Institute has completed the revision and rollover of the unit standards listed above.

Summary

 

All standards in domain Food Safety have been rolled over to extend their registration date until a full review takes place during 2010-2011.  Impending legislation, sponsored by New Zealand Food Safety Authority (NZFSA) will make significant changes to food safety compliance requirements.  The Hospitality Standards Institute will conduct a full review of all standards in domain Food Safety when the passage of that legislation through parliament is completed.

 

Main changes

 

·      Special note on legislation in standards 168 and 20666 has been updated to match other subfield Hospitality standards reviewed in 2009.

·      Definition of 'establishment requirements' has been made consistent across the standards in domain Food Safety.
