Revision of Distribution qualification
National Certificate in Distribution (Level 3) [Ref: 0991]
The Retail Institute has revised the qualification listed above.
Date new version published January 2010
The next qualification review is planned to take place during 2011.
Reason for the revision
The revision was undertaken to enable training programmes leading to award of the qualification to include new Generic Computing standard 25662 which had replaced standard 5941.
Main changes resulting from the revision
Changes to structure and content
· Expiring standard 5941 was replaced by standard 25662.
· Titles of standards 334, 9705, 11985, 11961, 11995, and 11976 were updated.
Transition
People currently working towards version 1 of this qualification may complete the requirements for that version or transfer to version 2. The last date for assessments to take place for version 1 is December 2012.
This qualification contains standards that replaced earlier standards. For the purposes of this qualification, people who have gained credit for the expiring standards are exempt from the requirement to gain credit for the replacement standards - see table below.
