Rollover and revision and rollover of Carpet Manufacture unit standards

The Apparel and Textile Industry Training Organisation has completed the rollover of the unit standards listed above.  The unit standards listed in bold above have also been revised.

Summary

 

These standards have been rolled over because they were passed their planned review date.

 

The review process has started but is expected to take some time.  These standards need to be current so that the National Certificate in Textiles Manufacture (Operations) (Level 2) [Ref: 1121] and the National Certificate in Textiles Manufacture (Advanced Operations) (Level 3) with strands in Textile Processing and Textile Testing [Ref: 1122] can be updated.

 

Main changes

 

·         Change of planned review date.

·         Entry information amended in standards 7195 and 7207.

 

The Registration Criteria for National Qualifications Framework (NQF) Unit Standards have been reviewed and replaced with the Quality assurance criteria for the listing of unit standards on the Directory of Assessment Standards.  The changes made to the criteria during this review reflect the replacement of the NQF and the Register with the New Zealand Qualifications Framework (NZQF) and the Directory of Assessment Standards, the inclusion of criteria for grades, and changes to terminology and format of unit standards.  The main changes to terminology are that:

• Special Notes were renamed Explanatory notes
• Elements were renamed Outcomes
• Performance Criteria were renamed Evidence requirements.

 

The unit standards covered by this report have been published in the new format.
